Data and statistics

Every quarter we collate information about the numbers of venues and gaming machines licensed to each society, in each council area (or territorial authority). This is published along with the relative gaming machine profits, to facilitate the analysis of trends across the gambling sector in New Zealand.

We are streamlining the way we provide access to industry data. We will no longer publish data in various custom formats, or link to multiple historical copies of quarterly data.

Cumulative key reports will continue to be provided, in accessible datasets.

If you wish to access old information or cannot find what you need please contact us at gambling@dia.govt.nz.
