Complain about spam

You can complain to the Department about spam (unsolicited commercial electronic messages) you have received via email, TXT (mobile/smart phone) message, or fax (facsimile).

Please note, the Department does not investigate unsolicited phone calls, postal mail or pop-up messages. If you have received an unsolicited phone call, please contact your telephone service provider. If you have been a victim of an online crime, please report the matter to the Police dialling 105 (non-emergency reporting) in the first instance.

You can also report online incidents using the Netsafe Online Reporting tool or Cert NZ for any cybersecurity threats in New Zealand.
