EMS RegulationsSection 370 of the Gambling Act 2003 sets out the fees payable in respect of gaming machines connected to the Electronic Monitoring System.
Minimum Technical Requirements for EMS (Cabling and Site Controller)This is the minimum standard for cabling venues for EMS. A successful cable install will require careful consideration of this minimum standard and the documents it incorporates.
Note: A minor amendment has been made to this standard regarding the bend radius for cabling:
The standard incorporates specifications produced by the Queensland Office of Gaming Regulation. This in turn is based upon specifications for the physical cabling and connection as designed and produced by Agilent Technologies. Minimum Technical Requirements for EMS (QCOM Protocol)The minimum equipment standards for the QCOM Protocol were notified in the NZ Gazette on 25 May 2006. The standard incorporates specifications produced by the Queensland Office of Gaming Regulation.
