Responsibility for hosting the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) transferred from the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet (DPMC) to the Department of Internal Affairs (DIA) from 25 September 2025. DIA will reflect this change in its upcoming Strategic Intentions update, planned for late 2026.
