Anti-spam enforcement action 2020

The Department's Electronic Messaging Compliance Unit is responsible for enforcing the Unsolicited Electronic Messages Act 2007. Below is a list of enforcement actions taken by the team in 2020.

June 2020

One New Zealand company was issued with a Formal Warning for breaches of the Act.
