All of New Zealand will move into the COVID-19 Protection Framework at 11:59pm on Thursday, 2nd December 2021.

Key information and details on the traffic light system will be set out this week.

More details and a law change will be released this week, as well as an app to allow businesses to operate under the vaccinate.

The Response Unit has been working with a group of chief executives on shaping up guidance for the new Framework, ahead of the implementation COVID-19 Protection Framework. Another two meetings are being held this week. We will have this guidance out to you as soon as we can.

My Vaccine Pass template is available for distribution

My Vaccine Pass is an official record of your COVID-19 vaccination status for use within Aotearoa New Zealand.

Anyone aged 12 and over who has had 2 COVID-19 vaccinations administered in New Zealand, or who has been given a medical exemption, can now request a My Vaccine Pass. Information on getting a My Vaccine Pass is available here My Vaccine Pass | Unite against COVID-19 (covid19.govt.nz).

A template of an official My Vaccine Pass can be found here: My Vaccine Pass template (PNG). This can be circulated for reference to reduce the likelihood of people using false Vaccination Passes.

Approximately 1.1 million people have downloaded their Vaccination Pass so far. 

Information on current cases, COVID-19 test sites and economic support

There are 205 new cases of Covid-19 in the community today. Of these 175 are in Auckland, 20 in Waikato, five in the Bay of Plenty, one in Taupō and four in Northland.

There were 9,851 first and second vaccine doses administered yesterday, made up of 3,079 first doses and 6,772 second doses. To date, 91% of eligible people in New Zealand have had their first dose and 83% are fully vaccinated.
