The Borrie Financial Group Limited advise that scam emails are currently circulating claiming to originate from them advising that the recipient is being considered for the position of "Payment Protection Agent". Be aware borriefg.com is not their website and Samuel Bigwood is not an employee. They also strongly recommend that you do not provide bank account details or any other information they require.

Stating the fact that you are not in Sydney presently, you can make reservation for this room and there would be a Tenancy document to that effect that you are the owner of the specified space....This involves the duties of my lawyer whom will prepare the Tenancy Agreement Contract between us...Everything we do will be backed and sealed by law so there would be no doubts

As far as I know they don't run tertiary education.

A couple of questions for you.
Firstly; Are you asking me to receive funds from your Dad not only for rent and bond but also to then pay for your air ticket? Surely not.
Secondly; Where do you intend studying your Masters?
Thirdly; what transport plans do you have? Christchurch is over an hours drive from Methven. We don't have public transport on the same scale as the UK.

I told him that my friend is already in Auckland so if he can give me his number, we can arrange to view the place first but he refused and give some excuse that he is now in London. So I Google his name and found out that he's an active scammer on few other website. Got few forums talking bout Jean Boutier scam activity in Australia, NZ and London. I decided to report his fraudulent activity to prevent him to scam others.

Presently, I am in the UK, {London to be precise}, This is the reason I want to rent my apartment out The only option at hand now is, if we can both go through the normal proceedure.. we can still arrive at exactly what you wanted. You can move in even if i am not there to usher you in.
The processes are not much, you only need to sign a Lease document {which we can both do online}, then you need to have some documents to yourself as proof of assurance, then we proceed to the payment level and giving you a reference number {like a code} which you would take to the FEDEX head office, to get the keys, because without the reference number, nobody can get the keys except someone i give it to and i would be called to confirm first. Incase you want to be sure of how genuine the person is...this is the reason I would be willing to make available a scanned copy of my Passport and my Certificate of Occupancy, which I am not supposed to expose over the internet for security reasons.... but in this situation, we need to be sure of whom we are both dealing with.
I would need to prepare the Lease document with your {Full name, Present Contact address, and Phone number}. So, I would need you to give me the
information required for the form which I listed above.

Thanks for the email. I did get an email from paypal late today confirming that the shipment fee has been sent to shipper. I see it very obligatory to say a very big thank you for being there.
The money has been picked up by the shipping agent and surprisingly I did get another email from them this avo notifying me about the need to pay an insurance fee of $1,500 which is to be refunded upon delivery. According to their message, the insurance fee will be asked across the border and it will be refunded on delivery.
Sequel to this, I did contact paypal about it and was advised to make an additional payment and now been deducted from my account already. To compensate you for the extra transfer fee you incurred and the new one you want to send with your time, i have added an extra 200$ and sum up to 1,700$. Now you should receive 6,500$ in your account after they have verified the transfer of the Insurance fee 1,500$ being sent to the shipping agent.

I advertised my vehicle as classified on Trade Me and when I googled the original email I found some posts on their site as well as the one on the DIA site. The email "abolaso35 gmail.com" (with different numbers) has been reported on several scam discussion sites. Attached are all the correspondence I had with this person - including fake paypal emails instructing me to send money to an address in the UK. Presumably that person is acting as a funds transfer person and maybe needs to be contacted…
Haven't heard anything more from 'Grant' since my final email to him but I have received two more emails from 'Paypal'.

I just finished paying for the car, please check your e-mail for payment confirmation emails from paypal (check your Junk Folder if you cant find the mails in your inbox), I sent an additional 1,500 which is required for the freight charges, you'll have to help send the extra amount to the Shipping Company through Western Union because I cant send the money to the agent by myself as i'm offshore and i'd need to get into a post office to use western union. Following is an experience another online trader had with Andrew Bond wanting to purchase the traders car:
Basically, I was selling my car on Trade Me at the price of $8500.00 NZD. Someone was very keen on it and wanted to use PayPal for a safe transaction. He requested that I send an invoice using the PayPal website. So I created an ID and sent an invoice to Andrew Bond [bonand102 gmail.com]. He then sent me an email saying he had sent $8500 and added extra $3950 to take care of the bills, so he sent PayPal $12,450.00 NZD (included the selling price $8500.00 NZD and an extra fee $3950 NZD). He also said that I needed to send the money ($3950 NZD) to Navinkumar Goppu via Western Union. Finally, I sent the $3950.00 NZD because I trusted PayPal. Having sent the money ($3950 NZD + the send charge 151.46 NZD) to him, I found out that something was wrong.
I noticed that all the emails pretended to be PayPal emails were not from PayPal. (He used email address [service intl.paypal.com ® inquirysection consultant.com]. I confirmed the email was not PayPal's after I contacted the actual PayPal company)
I know I shouldn't have sent him the money without 100% certainty.
I reported the New Zealand Police as soon as I realised, but they said that as the money's already gone to overseas, they can't do anything for us.
I don't want anyone else to fall for this scammer!

The money has not been released to your account yet.What paypal now wants you to do is to send the $1350 which was added to the funds to the shipper from your own pocket first via western union money transfer..The $1350 is the shipping agent's fee for the carriage..So after you have sent the money via western union,you now need to send the MTCN to paypal and also the sender's name..After they have verified that you really sent the money,then they will now credit your account immediately after they receive the information from you.. First of all, I want you to know that the payment cannot be cancelled due to the fact that the money has been removed from my account and has been kept in escrow by paypal and according to the policy, you have to first send the shipper's fees through western union and mail the mtcn and transfer details to paypal for verification and immediately they confirmed that you have truly sent the money, then your account will be credited immediately. I want you to find all means of getting the money either you borrow from friends or relations because your account will be credited by paypal within few hours after they receive the mtcn from you and then you can be able to return every money from wherever you borrow. I am also a Father and a man of Integrity and i cannot and will never lead you astray because i have over 25 people working under me and i am very honest to them. I want you to know that paypal will not hesitate to take legal actions against you if you do not send out the money as they requested and the consequences of there legal actions is always bad so i dont want this kind of thing to happen to you. Make sure you try and send out the money asap and keep me informed on the progress.

Another vehicle trade with the same kind of email requesting they use Paypal as previously seen in the Dennis Mower and other online trade scams. Remember, Paypal is a perfectly acceptable place to do online trading, just these scammers use the same wording when the trade is reaching the pay point which one wouldn't expect from apparent individuals.

You would never have to send money via Western Union or Money Gram to a company you were employed by. Western Union and Money Gram are themselves legitimate companies and provide a great service, however you would not use them for sending money back and forth between businesses.

Sorry mate, but I am not making an upfront payment without the money being released to me first, I was prepared to give you the chance first but everything points to a scam and I am not taking that chance. If you can’t make the payment to me first then I am not prepare to go through with this, you can cancel the Paypal trasaction as I will not be completing the sale.

I do understand what you mean but this is a safe transaction i have just contact paypal when i got the notification letter from them that the buyer will never believe the transaction is safe but this is what i was told below that the funds can not be refunded to the buyer's account through the PayPal system as the buyer's account has been placed under limited access by our trust and safety department because the buyer made attempt in claiming the funds back to his account without any legal notification for security purpose.
Therefore i guess you should understand that i can not access my account at the moment untill the transaction is complete so i think the best way is that you should please go ahead and make the transfer for the money and get back to paypal with the western union details for you to have your money fully credited into your account asap

Note: After listing a vehicle for sale on Trade Me the seller received a text message asking for details about the vehicle. The trader emailed to gibson880 at gmail.com with the information and suggested it would be ideal for the vehicle to be viewed in person. The trader received the response below. Other enquiries by the trader revealed 'Daniel Gibson' was intending to ship the vehicle to the Bahamas and that he was from 'Aussie'. Suspicious, the trader then searched Google and discovered a number of scams relating to 'Daniel Gibson'.Hello,

Note: A man with the user name Prayer 1, who states he is on a prayer mission in Africa, is advertising Auckland apartments for rent on various internet flat hunting sites. He advises applicants to contact his wife ‘Kate’ in the UK who sends pictures of the apartment and requests the applicant fills in a rental agreement form.Once the form is completed the applicant is told to send $1700 USD via a Western Union account and she will send the DHL package with papers and keys. In this case, the applicant paid the money and did not receive the package. Kate then sent a request for another $600 USD to send to her husband in Africa. The applicant refused and Kate became angry demanding account information from her. There has been no communication since but the applicant has lost $1700 USD.
Below is a description of the apartments. There are a number of apartments listed in Auckland to owners who are all outside of New Zealand and all the apartments have the same description.
