Description: In March 2012 the Minister for Local Government announced a reform programme for local government. The programme is part of the Government’s broader economic growth programme, and is designed to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of local government. Called “Better Local Government”, the programme consists of two phases. The first of these phases has resulted in changes to the Local Government Act 2002. Casino Gambling: Rules for Division 15 Pontoon - Amendment Summary
Description: Pursuant to section 367 of the Gambling Act 2003 the following amendment to Division 15 of the Rules of Casino Table Games (Pontoon) was prescribed on 30 June 2009. The amendment allows for an additional wagering option called “Perfect Pairs”. The “Perfect Pairs” bet wins if the first two cards drawn are a pair. This amendment took effect on 3 July 2009.

The amendment prohibits any person from using more than one gaming machine at a time. This rule takes effect from 3 July 2009.

Description: Pursuant to section 367 of the Gambling Act 2003 the following amendment to Division 5 of the Rules of Casino Table Games (Baccarat) was prescribed on 30 June 2009. The amendment is intended to allow the casino operator to increase the number of rounds dealt where no wagers are placed. The rules currently allow for up to three non-wager rounds. The amendment allows casinos to increase this number. This amendment took effect on 3 July 2009.
