DETAILS OF THE VISIT TO WELLINGTON, CHRISTCHURCH AND AUCKLAND
BY THEIR MAJESTIES
KING WILLEM-ALEXANDER AND QUEEN MÁXIMA OF THE NETHERLANDS

7 – 9 November 2016


Monday 7 November - Wellington

10.00am Formal Ceremonial Welcome at Government House in Wellington with the Governor General Her Excellency Dame Patsy Reddy.

11.20am Wreath Laying Ceremony at Pukeahu National War Memorial Park. This will be an opportunity for members of the public to see the Royal Couple.

11.40am Visit to the Great War Exhibition.

2.30pm Their Majesties will meet with Prime Minister John Key and then Andrew Little MP at Parliament. This will be an opportunity for members of the public to see the Royal Couple as they arrive at the main steps to Parliament Buildings.

4.10pm Visit to Park Road Post, Miramar.

19.30pm State Dinner, Government House Wellington

Tuesday 8 November - Christchurch

10.00am Visit to Willowbank Wildlife Reserve

10.50am Visit to Tuahiwi Marae, Tuahiwi

1.15pm Meeting with the leadership of Te Rûnanga o Ngâi Tahu, Addington

3.50pm Meeting with members of local Dutch Community at the Christchurch Art Gallery. This will be an opportunity for members of the public to see the Royal Couple as they walk to the Art Gallery from the Canterbury Club.

Wednesday 9 November – Auckland

10.25am Visit to Auckland Art Gallery to view Abel Tasman etchings and Gottfried Lindauer Collection. This will be the main opportunity for members of the public to see the Royal Couple in Auckland.

11.00am Presentation on New Zealand Dairy Industry by Theo Spierings, CEO, Fonterra at the Hilton Hotel, Princess Wharf

11.20am Their Majesties will view trade displays at a Future of Food event at the Hilton Hotel. They will also witness the exchange of agreements between Netherlands and New Zealand companies and organisations. Afterwards they will attend a business lunch with New Zealand and Dutch Businesses.

3.00pm Meeting with members of local Dutch community at Kelliher Estate, Puketutu Island. Mangere
