Funding for Community ICT projects

29/11/2006

Organisations with community Information and Communication Technology (ICT) projects throughout New Zealand are being urged to submit their Expressions of Interest to the Community Partnership Fund’s 2006/07 funding round.

Expressions of Interest close on 19 December 2006.

Administered by the Department of Internal Affairs, the Community Partnership Fund is part of the Government's Digital Strategy, which seeks to make New Zealand a world leader in using ICT.

The Community Partnership Fund is a contestable fund aimed at not-for-profit ICT projects that help strengthen communities. Its focus is on projects that help communities with ICT content, connection, capability and skills.

Projects must be community driven and have partners that will provide financial or ‘in-kind’ contributions matching or exceeding the funding applied for. Applications must show how the project will be sustained after funding from the Community Partnership Fund has ended.

For more information, or for an Expression of Interest application pack, visit www.digitalstrategy.govt.nz or www.dia.govt.nz, or call freephone 0800 824 824.
