Lottery Community Sector Research Fund

The Lottery Community Sector Research Committee was established in 2008. The Committee’s aim is to enable community organisations to carry out research or evaluation projects (independently or with a suitable research partner), that will foster the development and application of knowledge in and for New Zealand communities.
Applications for the submission of research ideas to the Lottery Community Sector Research Fund open annually. For closing dates please refer to the Lottery Closing and Meeting Dates schedule which is available on Grants Online (www.cdgo.govt.nz) or meeting dates for 2009. To be eligible, applicants must be community organisations seeking to carry out research or evaluation projects that will benefit communities at a local, regional or national level.
How to apply
The application process for the Lottery Community Sector Research Fund has two stages.
Stage One
Research Ideas can be submitted using the application form. You can request an application be mailed to you by calling freephone 0800 824 824 or emailing lcsr@dia.govt.nz. The Research Idea application must be completed on paper and posted or couriered to:

Stage Two
Applicants whose Research Ideas are selected by the Committee will be invited to submit a Full Research Proposal. Details of what is required are set out in the Lottery Community Sector Research Information Sheet which can be downloaded from the Grant Online website.
