Lottery distribution committees were established under the Gambling Act 2003 to distribute the profits of New Zealand lotteries for community purposes.  The amount of funding allocated to each committee is determined by the Lottery Grants Board.  Distribution committee members are appointed by me, as the Minister of Internal Affairs.

As nominations are being invited from a number of sources, please note that any nomination made will not necessarily result in the appointment of a particular person.  The preferred candidates will be asked to provide a declaration to the Department of Internal Affairs.  This includes declaring any actual or perceived conflict of interest, or any other matter that may affect their suitability for appointment.  The Department may check the accuracy of any information relating to an application for appointment.

If you require any further information about the function or composition of the Lottery distribution committees, please do not hesitate to contact Judi Maddever on 04 494 5789/judi.maddever@dia.govt.nz.

Nominations close Friday 20 November 2015.
