The Department’s website includes lots of information giving useful background for stories. You can navigate through the links on the home page but because of the amount of information it may be much easier to use the search engine at the top right hand side of the home page. If you can’t find what you want by using the search engine, please send a note to webmaster@dia.govt.nz and we will make improvements.
Department media staff usually switch their phones to their cell phones when away from their desks, or will return messages promptly. We want to hear from you, and will attempt to deal with your request to meet your deadlines. We often get calls from media about the activities of other government agencies, and are happy to direct your call to the right place.
If you are from Maori language media or media using another language we will try to meet your needs. We can use Language Line to interpret.
